The AI hackathon is an enriching annual event at the National School of Computer Sciences at Mannouba University Campus that showcases innovations and expertise, taking place over the span of two days. It’s organized by the IEEE ENSI student branch. IEEE is known to be the world’s largest technical and professional organization with more than 419,000 members in over 160 countries, dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

Due to the pandemic and the critical situation we’re in, the event’s second edition was 100% online, taking place on April 9th and 10th.

AI Hackathon revolves around the impact of the new technologies on a global scale especially artificial intelligence as it serves humanity in the financial field. The participants will compete to solve problems by finding optimized solutions for the benefit of finance.

In this edition, many interesting profiles were invited to our event as speakers who shared with us a plethora of information about the hackathon’s theme.

Our guests included: Mr. Imed Hanana President of ATIA (Tunisian association of artificial intelligence), Mr. Hatem Haddad the co-founder and CTO atiCompass, and Karem Chatti, an advanced Technologies engineering Student at the National School of Advanced Sciences and Technologies – Borj Cedria.

Additionally, there were many workshops conducted by specialists and distinguished people like Amél Sellami, Google developer expert in machine learning and research, a graduate from ENSI about finance and AI, as well as Mohamed Mnif, a graduate from IHEC and a Certified Chartered accountant, The workshop theme was decentralized finance which aided the participants in broadening their knowledge about the AI industry.

That’s why this event will be an invaluable opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in an area that highlights the IT world.

It’s important to mention that a new concept was introduced which is ted talks. People shared their success stories and spread a good attitude and positive energy to all the participants through their screens.

Our source of inspiration in this hackathon were Ahlem ben Othman and Skander Boudawara AKA Khormologia.

Finally, the 2.0 edition of AI hackathon was very successful and helped our school stand out from the crowd and attract many participants from all over the world and the winners were from Tunisia and Pakistan.

All the IEEE members are proud of this achievement and on this occasion, we would like to thank our partners: THINK-IT, ZINDI, and our sponsors: INSTADEEP, ICOMPASS, ATIA, SMART-ENSI, PAQ-PROMESS because they helped elevate the quality to beyond what we envisioned and set higher bars for next editions.

Last but not least, we had fun with the musicians through online musical breaks, and our musician for this edition was Radouen Oueslati.

Nestled within the vibrant halls of INSAT, a legacy of cultural excellence and thriving community transcends generations . For years, the university has been the hallowed ground for numerous illustrious events, each weaving a thread in the fabric of its storied history.

Among these cherished traditions, once stood INSAT JAM Session.

Since its inception in 2007 as CinéRadio INSAT’s unique platform for musical expression, the concert rapidly blossomed into the crown jewel of INSAT’s cultural calendar, epitomising the university’s ethos of creativity, collaboration, and celebration.

Scores of bands once graced the stage, each impassioned performance leaving an indelible imprint on countless hearts from diverse backgrounds, fostering bonds of unity through the universal language of music.

Across twelve editions of extraordinary artistic achievement, the event has cemented its status as the proud epicentre of Tunisia’s collegiate music scene. From the fresh-faced fledgling to the seasoned veteran rockstar, each contributed to crafting a vibrant kaleidoscope of shifting emotions, and each added their own unique touch to a burgeoning legacy of musical excellence.

Alas, in 2020,  the cherished melody of JAM Session fell silent, as the world grappled with an unprecedented pandemic, rupturing the once ethereal musical flow of the beloved concert. The absence of a once radiant beacon of creative prowess weighed heavily on the hearts of student-musicians and a fragile, oft-overlooked artistic community. Ultimately, a series of untimely circumstances perpetually delayed its triumphant return, relegating the once-celebrated tradition to a distant, fading memory.

However, the enduring spirit of JAM Session remained steadfast, quietly anticipating the moment when its melodic symphony would once again resonate with joy and unity.  And now, after more than five long years of silence, JAM Session rises from the ashes, poised to reclaim its rightful place as the pride and joy of INSAT’s cultural tapestry.

The stage is set once again as anticipation fills the air, musicians eagerly tuning their instruments and audiences eagerly awaiting the resumption of the beloved melody. With each note, the spirit of JAM Session reignites, promising to once again captivate hearts and unite souls in a symphony of shared emotion and collective celebration.

And so, as the long-awaited rebirth draws nearer, you have the special opportunity to be a part of it. Whether you’re an artist yourself or simply a music aficionado, you can bear witness to the revival of a dormant INSAT tradition that has been five years in the making.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the magic of music, unity and creativity in its purest form and join us on April 17th, as we come together to celebrate the return of INSAT JAM Session!
