GDSC INSAT: A thorough definition of a University Club

Google Developer Student Club – INSAT (or GDSC INSAT) is a community group for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. 

 By joining GDSC INSAT, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.

 GDSC INSAT is one of 151 chapters from 17 countries in the MENA region, all united together to bridge the gap between theory and practice for student developers and to impact students and empower them to impact their communities through technology.

 By being a GDSC INSAT member, you will have monthly access to the famous platform QWIKLABS which It’s a learning platform owned by Google that helps students learn in an interactive way. It provides you with temporary credentials to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) so that you can learn in the cloud in real conditions !

GDSC INSAT covers all IT aspects that interest students: Beginning from Machine Learning, Big Data, and DevOps, to Web Development, Mobile Development, Cloud Engineering, and even Security!

Every month, GDSC members ought to finish the corresponding tracks in order to win some valuable prizes offered by Google itself.

During the month of September, Students got to finish the Machine Learning track, by finishing various quests on QWIKLABS. To add fun to the monthly challenge, student are finishing not only one but two tracks during the month of October: the DevOps track, and the Big Data Track! Double the fun, double the gifts.

Talking about the technical advantages given by this club, it is convenient to mention the Introduction to AI workshop held by the Machine Learning Team of GDSC and presented by Fatma Chaouech and Taoufik Kaabi, being two of the most hardworking core team members of GDSC INSAT.

 Participants expressed their satisfaction learning about the different techniques and terminologies pf the Machine Learning world and getting their hands dirty playing with the python code within the Collab environment while building their first Machine Learning Algorithm.

 Next week, participants will learn more about the different Data exploration and mining techniques, as a preparation for the next workshops tackling the Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, Deep Learning, and finishing up by a TensorFlow workshop.
