November 12th 2018, the inauguration day of the Confucius institute in ISLT, Tunisia;
With the presence of the ambassador of china and many other authorities, the higher institute of languages is celebrating the inauguration day of the Confucius institute.
In the past few months The Higher Institute of languages in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China have been preparing for the opening of the Confucius institute exclusively in Tunisia.
As a matter of fact, the first Confucius Institute(CI) was opened on the 21st of November 2004 in Seoul, South Korea, and now we are thrilled to have it here in one of our Tunisian universities.

In fact, this institute is named after a Chinese philosopher known as Kong Qui or Kung Fu-tzu, or simply Confucius, who was an influential Chinese philosopher, teacher and political figure known for his popular aphorisms and for his models of social interaction.
So let’s get to the main point, the Confucius institute is a non-profit public educational organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, whose aim is to spread Chinese language and culture, support local Chinese teaching internationally, and facilitate cultural exchanges.
Therefore, “it is launched in order to teach Tunisian students the Chinese language from level A to level C, they will get a certificate that proves their proficiency at the end of the courses, and most importantly, they will be taught by Chinese native speakers.” Claimed the Chinese Ambassador in an interview today.
The CI develops Chinese language courses, train teachers, hold the HSK Examination (Chinese proficiency test), host cultural and artistic presentations, and provide information about contemporary China.
On the whole, if you want more information about the CI visit http://www.ciuscenter.org/ , and if you are willing to register in this institute, which is located in the higher institute of languages, Tunis you may directly contact the administration of the institute which is based in City El Khaddara .
