His consciousness’s finally coming back. Opening his eyes is still a painful feat especially with the loud ringing in his ears. Confused as to why he’s in a rocky place. He finally stands up and starts scouting the site. His heart beats are getting louder and faster.

It got worse when he looked up. The sky was so far that the light barely reached his swollen eyes. His body struggling to take steps forward because of the pain. The confusion is getting worse with all the unanswered questions that keep popping to his head; Where am I? What got me here? What was I doing before all of this? Only one purpose was clear in his mind; He has to figure out what happened.

“It seems that am stuck here for now. I don’t have enough energy to climb my way through,” he said to himself as he tried to keep moving.

As he walks randomly through the tight spaces in the valley, it suddenly hits him. The images are coming back. The ringing gets even louder and his head hurts even more. He sits down and tries to make sense of them. The first image was of a beautiful woman. Her beauty so stunning that the pain got lighter as he smiled. A rush of energy moves through him. His head now is clearer, he can see better. But, he got lost in the image of her figure; silky-smooth snowy-white hair as it dances to the light breeze, greenish eyes to which you’re held captive once you look into, pink lips that you could hear sing without even moving, a pale skin shining like a beacon, sky-blue dress which tells her story.

It was obvious, all of it, right from the very first moment he caught glimpse of her. She was royalty; Not just any royalty, it was the princess. Taliyah the third daughter of the one and only Vlad the fifth, the ruling king. He, Valion was nothing but a peasant. At the very least, from a royal perspective. Although, he wasn’t any peasant. He was strong and loved by nature’s energy; Mana. He never knew defeat; not even once. No one could ever outwit him. He’s always thought at least three steps ahead of his opponents.

Finally, his lost memories are coming back as he starts to roam the place aimlessly. It all started when he first saw her at the capital’s main market. It’s a crowdy place. Traders from all over the place go through it. After all, Flore was -literally- the center of world. He approached her slowly, kind of panicked yet composed as he always is. It wasn’t his first time yet it felt like it was. To his surprise, she noticed him and smiled right away. That’s when he knew; for the very first time in his life, he fell for someone. When their eyes met, they both felt that connection. It’s not uncommon for girls to like him at first glance. He has a charm which got him any girl he wanted; long brown braided hair, sea blue eyes, slightly tanned skin giving a honey caramel color when reflecting the sunlight.
The butler accompanying her quickly took notice and rushed her to move faster. At the very last moment, Valion managed to slip a little piece of paper.

“You’ll know where to find me” he whispered.

She couldn’t answer him. She had no choice; No one should approach her. As she passed him, she nodded in a discreet way. At that moment, they both knew they will be meeting again.

As he recalls the events that brought him to where he is, he hears heavy footsteps. A bulky figure is getting closer. The aura around the monster wasn’t that dense nor that threatening. It’s much weaker than it looked. All he needed was to enchant his fist and hit the creature to get rid of it. To his luck, the monster’s meat was edible which helped him regain his energy.

Cautious as always, Valion decides to roam his surroundings. Again, he hears footsteps other than his. Not as heavy, yet the presence feels like it’s pushing him back. He gets closer. A shadowy figure of his size appears. It’s clearly a person this time. But, who could it be?

“Young man, what brought you here?” said the shadowy figure.

To be continued…
