Feeling a lack of motivation? Do you believe that you can achieve something big but don’t know where to start? Well, there is a simple answer to that dilemma. It’s always about that first step! Put your headphones, play your favorite playlist and go at it!
This time, we’re going to talk about something special. It’s a mobile app developed by an INSAT student. He’s the one and only « Zakaria Naaija ». He’s a second year student in software engineering and the technical manager of « INSAT Android Club ».
The app is « School life management ». It was developed as a project exposition at « Droid Day 7.0 » and won him the prize. After a year, he published it via Google Play Store. In a single day, his app snatched the sixth spot in the trending apps list!
The goal from the app is as simple as its name; you manage life during school. It helps you keep track of many things including your events, subjects, absences (a very important thing! You do not want to get eliminated in any subject…)
The app consists of 5 parts:
- The Timetable area: You upload pictures of your timetable(s) to check as soon as you start the app. It’s much better than scrolling through your gallery each time you want to know what class you have next.
- An Event callendar: Thanks to it you can plan your events and even set reminders beforehand. That way, you can rest assured that you won’t be missing out on anything.
- A To Do list: In this part of the app, you set your objectives of the day along with reminders. You never know when you’re going to forget something important. This is a great way of setting your goals and achieving them!
- A Subject tracker: This one will help keep track of your grades in every subject, All you have to do is set each subject’s exams’ coefficients and then add your grades. It’ll calculate each subject’s average and help you figure out which subjects to work harder on.
- An Absence tracker: Last but not least, a way to track your absences in each subject. This will be every user’s lifeline. As you can keep track of the most threatening thing during university: ELIMINATION. You can avoid that with the absence tarcker.
The use of the app is quite simple and satisfying. I personally like it and ecourage Zakaria to go even further!!

I want this article to motivate every single reader and help them take that first step because I know how tough it can be sometimes. No matter what field you’re working in. Just go for it! Do not wait for the university to teach you every skill you’re going to need in the future. It won’t happen no matter where you’re studying. That’s a fact. Especially at this age, acquiring a new skill is not that hard. Almost all the tools are at our disposal.
