He woke up and felt nothing but the shattered pieces. The shattered pieces that he has yet to gather, the pieces of a broken mirror. A mirror that he used to look at with joyful eyes.

The mirror that butterflies once filled.

A mirror where the skies were the ceiling of his infinite gazing eyes,

the eyes that gated the soul that brightened his unsealed fate .

A soul that unleashed a stroke,

a stroke that leashed the hounds that guarded the hell of his agony,

The agony that he forgot and locked away beneath the fingers of his unnamed shadows.

The shadows that used to keep him awake during his darkest nights and filled his sight with a blurred vision, they echoed his screams through the void of his dying mind. As he gathered the pieces, trying not to get cut by what’s left, his soul moaned as his heart trembled. He felt the shadows creeping behind his back which he left wide open. And as he turned around, he saw it … There it sat and there it lay. As he looked at it, his blood rushed through his veins, his eyes widened, his hands were shaking. And as his chest tightened, his lungs were choking. There it lay, the evil that he had constantly avoided. An evil that he thought he has tamed, an evil that he was yet to be consumed by…

“Is this the end?…” … with an unheard voice he yelled… “Is it?”… He said while looking at the unnamed creature’s eyes, the eyes of a hollowed spirit they were.

He flinched for a moment, he stood still and smiled. He got a tear that crawled down to his cheeks. The tear fell down to the boiling ground while he looked down searching for the answers he never had, looking for the loose ends that he had left while chasing a light. A light that faded between the straps of darkness of his dreadful heart.

The lights that he was promised to find,

those lights were just behind his risen sun,

the sun of a cold frightened mind.

A mind filled with everlasting fists.

The fist of fury from his unredeemable fate.

The fate of the unblessed angel,

the fate of reining a cursed land.

The land of laughter and the hearts of moaning souls.

The fate of reining along his fallen mind.

A mind emptied from the so called love

A love that sickens everything around it, a love that was bestowed by his fearsome demons.

The demons that had little to give and much to take, they gave him a land to rein. A land with no other souls to be found. While they reined over his drowning heart. They gave him the screams of the damned ones, entrapping his ears in their everlasting echo. They danced instead to his non-beating heart; a heart that was at last to be found inside a rib-less chest; a chest hollowed and left to fade… to fade away with a grateful smile… a smile that he is yet to find when he wakes up from his unfinished nightmare…

And yet again he woke up, kneeling down where he once stood still. With eyes shut, he looked around and saw nothing but a window not far away. The tears of joy came to him but his hope was yet to be restored. He failed as he tried to stand, for his legs were nowhere to be felt. He started to crawl, in hopes of reaching it. His knees bled, but still he carried out …

“Crawling there is all I have to “… he said… as he crawled.

His arms began to give up, and his knees were burning and shutting down.

“Hang in there”, he groaned… “Just a little more … my salvation is near “, he shouted.

With those words he fought, the undisputed burden he was carrying on his back, the burden he was yet to be condemned for. He cried as he crawled to a window-shaped light. Just a few inches later he fell to the ground, embracing the fate of being tamed… redemption is what he seeks.

“Redemption is only the beginning “, a voice whispered to his ears…

“Just end my misery and I’m all yours “,he replied.

While his body numbed out, the whispering voice faded away. “Being alone … is what I deserve! For even a voice has left my side “ And those were the boy last words.
